ordinary and oddinary

I write therefore I exist.

First of all, thank you for taking your time to visit my blog.

I’m a thirtysomething gal living and working in Gibraltar & Spain. Since I left my home country South Korea in 1999, I’ve done a master degree in Tourism Marketing in the UK and a short time after, I’ve come to Gibraltar for a job offer. And then I met Mark and we got married in 2003. Happy ever after…? Well, there’s more stories to come along, so watch the space. 🙂

I’m one of the best friends of Jack (you know that Jack of all trades, master of none?). I’ve got so much passion to learn everything and anything and currently I’m totally into flamenco dancing and Spanish language and, oh I have to say, this blogging. I’m still not 100% sure whether my job as accountant keeps my sanity from my unpredictable interests or does the totally opposite. Probably the latter.

Well, when time permits, I’d love to learn baking and massage therapy as well. You know what? I chose the master degree over the Diplôme de Pâtisserie at Cordon Bleu. I thought I should pursue something academic rather than vocational due to the education-crazed environment I grew up in. Do I regret? I don’t do regrets. However it’s interesting to think what if I had chosen to do the baking instead. One thing for sure is that I would be a better baker now!

I’ve started this blog to satisfy my need to relate and communicate. I love creative writing. So many random thoughts pop out of my head ever so frequently, I’ve got this burning desire to scribble. Nothing concrete yet but I also have a vague idea of writing a book at some point in my life.

I hope you keep coming back for more.

  1. Learning the flamenco is on my “Stuff I Want To Do” list, and I often wonder what life would have been like had I gone with baking. This is a lovely blog. I am glad to meet you. 🙂

Flamenco is such a passionate dance and I’m loving every second of my Friday class. I would recommend it to anybody. Lovley to meet you Hippe Cahier.

  2. Hi. Thanks for dropping by my blog. I am just as passionate about almost everything as you are. Spain is a lovely place and is the perfect venue for your interests. Looking forward to more of your stories. 🙂

    • Yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Spain is a marvellous place for me. In fact, being at the southern tip of Iberian peninsula, I am truly blessed to savour the authenticity of Spain and the uniqueness of Gibraltar.

Thanks for popping by and nice to meet you!

Yes I can’t agree more. What a great outlet. Yesterday I was writing another Spanish snack I had discovered but couldn’t finish it. I will surely post it.

TGIF. I’ve been waiting this all week! 🙂
